How long have I got to claim?
Under the law of England, Wales and Northern Ireland you have up to six years to make a claim under Regulation 261. It is only five years in Scotland. This was decided by the Court of Appeal in 2014. How long you get depends upon the statute of limitations in each country so for some countries like France it is only three years. For claims under the Montreal Convention the limit is only two years.
