What if my flight is cancelled?

If your flight has been cancelled before you have embarked the plane then there is an argument that the Convention does not apply. However the difference between a cancellation and a delay can be a grey area in some cases. 

Whatever the case you may be able to turn to Regulation 261 for compensation as it covers both delays and cancellations or you might have a claim for breach of contract.
